Saved Mr. Maxx

While kenneled during a family vacation, Mr. Maxx became anxious and developed very loose stools. His condition did not improve once he came home. Tests ruled out infections/ parasites; vet exam confirmed Mr. Maxx's stress levels had changed his gut microbiome and he was now experiencing acute colitis. Ensures well rounded nutrition

My dogs eat a raw food diet with several proteins, fruits/veggies and whole grains but they won’t get all their nutrients without BalanceIT. My dog’s vet and dermatologist are always happy to hear about BalanceIT in their diet.

Sensitive Stomach

Balance it has helped make food that my veterinarian recommended. My dog has a very sensitive stomach and cannot eat kibble. She was throwing up weekly on kibble and now doesn’t throw up anymore. We have been using Balance It for more than a year and we love it.

Kind and Efficient

Recently a vitamin shipment was lost by the carrier. My problem received immediate attention and help to ensure the claim was validated and payment refunded. Not only is this a great product but the staff is great too. I had a great time tweaking my recipe and the vitamins work well with it. Gave up on the easy open as wasn't easy to re-seal for my fingers - and so---put the entire bag of vitamins in an airtight container.....solved that little situation. Thank you Balance It

We understand the larger 600 gram bags are inherently more difficult to open and close due to the legally required child-resistant-closure (CRC). Per federal law, we cannot recommend transferring the contents into a reusable and resealable container that you might prefer and like most cooks do for other bagged powdered cooking ingredients like flour or sugar. Legally, we must tell you that any container must have a CRC (aka “be childproof”) given its high nutrient content. This special packaging requirement protects against accidental ingestion of all of the contents at once by a child.

Disappointed

I have been cooking a veterinarian recipe for my dogs for over 14 years , with supplements, and fatty acids , as well as omega 3s . This was so completely complicated and expensive, as well as not workable for more than one dog . Simply not sustainable in any way.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Elayne. We truly admire your dedication to your 22-year-old dog, and the effort you’ve put into home-cooking for him over the years. However, we're sorry to hear that you found our online process complicated.

Our free online Recipe Builder at balance.it/recipes is designed to create custom recipes for individual animal companions. We reviewed our previous communications with you in April and saw that a phone appointment was scheduled to assist you with generating passing results, as it appeared you were having difficulty doing so online by yourself. Unfortunately, we did not ever hear back to reschedule a follow-up call, and we would still be happy to assist you using the site to make recipes if you're still interested.

As nutrient requirements do not scale linearly between dogs of different weights, we generally recommend creating separate recipes for each dog. Users can then try to use the same exact ingredients for each companion to hopefully make the preparation process easier as we stated in our email to you. You can learn more from our FAQ titled 'I have two dogs, and one weighs twice as much as the other. Can I just feed twice as much of the same recipe to the bigger one?' at balance.it/faqs .

We also understand that some veterinarians offer paid custom formulation services and may be able to develop a single shared recipe that works for multiple companions when appropriate. This isn’t always possible with our free online tool, as it’s designed to ensure safe and accurate nutrition tailored to each companion’s specific needs and is not able to make decisions that a veterinary professional can given their full knowledge of their patients and what is called a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR).
