Glad This Product Is Available

One of my cats is on a veterinary-designed diet because of his inflammatory bowel disease. He also has kidney disease. Balance It Feline K is a required ingredient in that recipe. The cat is doing very well.

Thank you for your kind review of Balance It® Feline K, Brenda. We're glad to hear your cat is doing very well with the help of our product.

We appreciate your long-time support, and we wish your cat continued success on their veterinary-designed diet!

exactly what my kitty needed

We recently learned that our cat, Curly was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. We now cook for her and my kitty's nutritionist highly recommended Balance It to be added to her food. She doesn't even notice it. She eats her food right up without a problem. thank you Balance It.

Thank you for leaving the first review for Balance It Feline K! We're glad to hear Curly is gobbling up her food with no issues.

Balance It® Feline K was updated to reflect the newest research (as recently published here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8692190/ ) regarding optimal dietary phosphorus restriction concentration and calcium to phosphorus ratio in cats with renal/kidney disease. Consequently, the supplement now has no added phosphorus (previously it was very low) and less calcium. Also using the Recipe Builder, a free recipe using a combination of human supplements, that can be purchased elsewhere, is also available if that alternative option is instead possible.

If you have any questions about your recipes or the use of Balance It Feline K, please feel free to send a message to our Customer Care Team at info@balanceit.com. We are happy to help!

No Longer Worth It - Since changes in packaging/pricing.

Not worth it, but I feel arm-twisted into buying it. Unfortunately, this is the only good option for my cat. I don't know what has changed, but by the digital scale it takes 4 times or more by volume than it used to take to get the amount needed for the recipe. The cost of using BalanceIt is exorbitant now and reordering double quantity is necessary every 3 months or so. Frankly, I feel price-gouged after having several years of access to the product for probably less than 10% of the the current annual expense.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Cheryl. We're pleased to hear that the supplement has been beneficial for your cat, but we're sorry to learn that you no longer find it worthwhile. We value the opportunity to address your concerns.

Balance It® Feline K was reformulated as of April 2nd, 2023 to reflect the newest research (as recently published here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8692190/ ) regarding optimal dietary phosphorus restriction concentration and calcium to phosphorus ratio in cats with renal/kidney disease. Any dosing for, or recipes using, the old formulation are no longer valid, and new recipes should be generated for free using the Recipe Builder at balance.it or pursued with one’s veterinarian and/or board-certified veterinary nutritionist®. To learn more, please visit our FAQ 'Why has Balance It® Feline K been reformulated (as of April 2, 2023), and/or why can I no longer get a passing recipe using Balance It® Feline K when using the Recipe Builder?' found at https://balance.it/faqs .

We understand and appreciate your concern about the increase in price, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may have or has caused. Our March 1, 2024 price increase is only our second price increase since April 2019, almost five years ago. During that time we have worked very hard to improve, including our efficiency, to maximize the value we offer and minimize any cost increases. You can learn more about our efforts and improvements in our FAQ titled 'Why did your prices increase?' again found at https://balance.it/faqs .

Our founder has co-authored multiple studies along with faculty at leading veterinary schools (e.g., J Am Vet Med Assoc. 2022;260(S3):S53-S60 ) that show that while home cooked food (aka human) grade diets may be less expensive than canned or wet feed (aka animal) grade food, they cost more than comparable kibble or dry feed grade commercially prepared diets. Overall we are confident that our ecosystem of technical expertise & support, free recipes, and human dietary supplement grade Balance It® supplements provide the best overall value and convenience possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by our newer packaging. While the CRC (child-resistant closure) bags we currently use remain the best available solution for regulatory/legal requirements, environmental concerns, and user needs, we are continuously exploring opportunities for improvement.

Please feel free to email our Customer Care Team at info@balanceit.com if you have any questions. We're here to help!
