So far, so good

I am hesitant to go too positive with comments, not because the product isn't great but because I've tried so many things that work for a short time and then fail. Again, not the product, it's the poor cat. I also bought the fiber supplement but don't really know how much to add, like amount to be used with the recipe. TY!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, Betty! We hope your cat continues to do well with our supplement. The amount of supplement and Firming Fiber needed is recommended based on the exact recipe you create on our website or that is provided to you by your veterinarian. Our Balance It Customer Care Team will be reaching out to you to provide support on your recipe(s).

My cat doesn't need allergy shots

My cat is allergic to many ingredients found in commercial cat food. However, he is not allergic to poultry or cornmeal. There is one brand that I can buy at a specialty per store or online, but the single serve cans are $2 each, and are mainly gravy, and my cat was still hungry after eating. So I decided to make my own cat food. My car's veterinarian recommended that I use Balance It as a supplement to include the vitamins, minerals and taurine that he needs. BalanceIt, plus using dust-free litters improved his skin and bowl movements so much that the veterinarian said that "whatever you are doing, keep on doing it". She had told me, after the allergy testing had been done, that she had never seen a cat with so many allergies, and that he would need shots in addition to food without any of his allergens, simply because it would be impossible to control the dust in the house that much. After seeing him again after using the BalanceIt, she said that he didn't need the shots. Thank you for providing what my cat needs.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Elizabeth. It has warmed our hearts. We understand how difficult it can be to find a diet that works for a companion with many sensitivities. We're happy to have been a part of your cat's journey to better health!

Red Scoop

I don't like the packaging because it's too hard to open. Each time I have to open it I struggle and having carpal tunnel syndrome, its constantly damaging my wrist. Other than that my cat seems to like it in her food and hopefully it helps her breast cancer. That's what counts.

Laura, thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We are sorry to hear that the bags are hard for you to open. By federal law, both of our 500 and 600 gram bags must have a child resistant closure (CRC; aka “be childproof”) given their high nutrient content. This special packaging requirement protects against accidental ingestion of all of the contents at once. The size may not work well/best for you, but we also do have smaller 20 gram pouches available that can be torn open as they hold less nutrient and do not need a resealable CRC as a consequence. We hope Princess Lily does well.
