My dog was experiencing some digestive issues with her commercial dog food, spitting up meals and occasionally making coughing/gagging noises. After an incident that took us to the emergency vet ruled out other serious issues, I decided to research homemade dog food to see if her diet was the cause of the problems. During that research, I came across Balance It. The online recipe tool is super helpful and a great place to start. I initially purchased a couple of sample packets as a cheaper way to test out the product. After confirming there were no negative reactions to the test packets, I opted for the larger, pricier bag. Since moving to homemade meals, she has been doing great! No more spit-ups or coughing noises. Her food is fresh, smells great, and she's eager to eat it (although she's eager to eat everything). It's also saving us a lot of money while still providing her with high-quality food. I may consider working with Balance It and our vet to come up with a customized diet for her in the future, but for now, I feel confident that she's getting all the necessary nutrients and being served high-quality meals. I'm super happy with the product and service and will recommend it to other pet parents. This is a valuable resource and I'm so glad I discovered it.

I home cook my dog’s food bc I don’t trust the pet food industry - I know too much about it. But I don’t know if my dog is getting enough of a balanced set of nutrients and I’ve read a lot about how it’s likely that home cooking doesn’t give this. So I’m very glad this product exists - it gives me peace of mind.

Balance It was recommended by my vet for my Chinese Crested Rupert. He has cystine bladder stones. Was put on prescription dog food. He was on 3 different brands for 5 years. He unfortunately kept having chronic diarrhea while on prescription food. Finally our Vet put him on homemade food from B.I. He’s had perfect **** since. ♥️ wish she had suggested it sooner.

I can’t say thank you enough. We are just starting out and have two German Shepherd’s, one with many allergies. Our female is so picky and it only took her about a week to try the homemade food. She really seems to like it. Thank you so much for giving dog owners a different choice over kibble!!!!
